Near the Depelseneer farm in Galmaarden, a commemoration of the crash was held on February 6, 2010, exactly 65 years after the crash. The Galmaarden municipal council organized this commemoration. A plaque was unveiled on Tasseniersstraat in the presence of USAF Colonel McLaughlin, representing the American embassy.
Michel Matthijs, who worked on it for years, researched and documented the entire history of the crash, the aircraft, and its crew. He was also the driving force behind the February 6 commemoration.
