Every year, Second Lieutenant Gilbert Malrait of the 719th Bomber Squadron, 449th Bomber Squadron, is commemorated on Memorial Day (end of May). This day honors all those who died in service of the U.S. military. Representatives from the U.S. Embassy, military personnel, and numerous other organizations, including Wings of Memory, are present at the ceremony in Ronse.
